This was all hand appliqued using a satin stitch to cover the edges.
It was an experiment using small discarded pieces of fabric to create whimsical creatures.
This is the inside of the case when fully opened up.
I wanted a creature that would protect my garden from earwigs. It is fun to have a story line.
I also wanted the creatures to be fun and have motion.
I really enjoyed making this for my friend Ancient Cloth.
I do believe I have met these adorable creatures already. Love the stitching around them...and the cleverness of the needle holder. Wonderful bold colors! Fun!!!! Thanks for sharing.
