This is a wall hanging that I finished in July.
I called it Spirituality because it reminds me that what is above so below.
The butterfly also is a symbol of rebirth.
Actually though the butterfly is made up of snakes.
The snake is about regeneration. Just as a snake sheds it's skin as it grows, so we must let go of old to embrace the new.
The quilting is suppose to resemble a pebble being dropped into the water and reverberations that it makes.

ReplyDeleteI just noticed the white marking on the lower corner. It must be some residue of chalk that was caught by the flash. It really isn't in the fabric.
