When I moved to Maine I decided that I wanted to learn to knit socks. I had knitted before but I found it slow because of the way we do it in America is to take our hand off the knitting needles and wrap with our right hand the needle. I wanted to learn this method, but I only had an image in a book to show me. It took me a long time to grasp. Here Renate Hiller is knitting the European way and it is beautiful to watch.
I am still working on my hexagon quilt...and another little surprise that I will show you soon.
What a fascinating video, thanks so much for sharing. I am just learning to knit, I had no idea there was a European and American way, I have been taught the European way :)
